British Open Championship

We gave it absolutely everything this weekend and I couldn’t be prouder of what we showed.

From being fastest in a couple of practice sessions on Thursday and Friday, to qualifying P2, I think we proved that we have the pace to run right at the front. A penalty in the first heat put me back to P5, followed by another P5 in our wet heat on Friday. Starting P3 for the Pre=Final, I knew I just had to keep it together, stay at the front and put ourselves in the best possible position for the final. A P3 in the pre-final meant starting 3rd for the Final. We pushed so hard and managed to get ourselves into the lead at one point, but unfortunately we just didn’t quite have enough in the final few laps.

Of course, I would have absolutely loved to win, but sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture. This weekend showed me that I can run at the front, I can fight for the win, and we have the pace to be there.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me this weekend and especially Jade Racing for all the hard work you put in to make everything perfect. I couldn’t do it without you.

So close… but so much to be proud of!
