British Kart Championships
We had some really good pace on Friday and it looked like it could’ve been a mega weekend, but unfortunately the weather just wasn’t on our side. We’ve struggled in the wet at this track, and pretty much every time we went to the grid it decided to rain! Definitely frustrating knowing what we had in the dry.
A damp qualifying on slicks saw us take 7th and 9th, followed by P10 in the first heat in the wet. Heat 2 was a solid effort, moving from 9th to 4th on track in the dry, but a penalty dropped us back to 7th. Unfortunately, some contact in the pre-final meant we didn’t manage to finish, and in a wet final we did the best we could to bring the weekend to an end with P7.
We’ve pushed hard all year and finished P4 in the British Championship. Obviously, as a driver, you always want more, but if you’d told me at the start of the year that I’d finish 4th in the British, I’d have thought that was a pretty good effort!
Massive thank you to 𝐉𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐊𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒 𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐆 for making this year possible. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are or have the pace we do!
Well done to my teammate Noah Wolfe on winning the championship, you deserve it! Thank you for all your help throughout the year
